According to research by SNL Kagan (an offering of S&P Global Market Intelligence) the 10-year outlook for the U.S. cable industry is positive. The recent studies indicate that the industry’s broadband advantage and bundling will increase revenue through 2026. The forecast predicts a slightly improved outlook for the video segment, and an upside for broadband services. The broadband subscriptions are expected to grow by more than 8 million over the next decade, reaching over 71 million. The decline in subscriptions is expected to stabilize, and, according to the study, net ad revenue is projected to grow by an an annual compounded growth rate of 4%.
