The Treasure, a telenovela produced by Caracol Television and distributed by Caracol International, debuted August 8 during primetime in Ecuador on Teleamazonas, with a frequency from Monday to Friday. The series tells the story of two neighboring families. Silvio Murcia and Efrain Otero are best friends, but everything changes when both their families move to the same area and become neighbors. The Murcia family soon discovers a giant gold statue buried in the middle of both homes. The Murcia family will do everything they can to keep the treasure to themselves, creating uncomfortable situations for the Otero family, who can’t figure out their neighbor’s sudden wealth. The production stars Lorna Paz, Julio Cesar Pachon, Sebastián Caicedo and Alina Lozano, among others.
