Canal 22 Internacional, the arts and entertainment channel, will premiere new episodes of the weekly cultural magazine series, Confabulario August 5 on its international signal. The series explores the literature, cinema, music, visual and performing arts, as well as historic heritage and popular culture of Mexico. Confabulario is also associated with the Sunday supplement of the El Universe newspaper and covers topical issues. In the first episode, Revisions of Narcoculture, viewers chart the rise of the “narco” phenomenon in popular culture. The episode will analyze the trivialization of violence and the advocacy of the “narco” culture. Other episodes include Creation and New Technologies; Forty Years after the Argenmex Exile; Brazil is More than Soccer; among others.
