Starz has announced that the fourth season of the original series Black Sails will be its last. The 10-episode fourth season of the high seas drama returns will return in 2017, with the pirates at war in the West Indies. The series takes place 20 years before Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic, Treasure Island, and follows notorious pirate Captain Flint (Tony Stephens). The first three seasons of the series averaged 3.6 million multi-platform viewers per episode, according to Nielsen and Rentrack. Black Sails is distributed in nearly 200 countries and territories worldwide.
