New Zealand’s Rialto Channel has picked up Studiocanal’s Section Zero, a Canal+ Creation Originale series. The dark thriller by Olivier Marchal is set in a dismal near future, where corporations have total control over European politics. The series will launch in New Zealand in December, and has also been picked up by Telefonica Spain, Russia’s Channel One and SBS in Australia. In other Studiocanal news, Amazon Prime Video in the U.K. acquired political thriller Baron Noir. The suspenseful drama follows a French politician in his pursuit for revenge against his political enemies. The series kicked off on Amazon Prime U.K. on July 14.
