At NATPE Budapest yesterday, China Broadcasting Media (CBM) and Hungary’s Cineworks Studio entered a strategic partnership agreement. NATPE COO and managing director J.P. Bommel was present at the signing ceremony. Under the arrangement, Cinework Studios’ screen acting school (Go To Casting) will develop voice actor, dubbing director and script translator courses, with the aim of dubbing Chinese media in Hungary. The two companies will work on boosting the exchange of TV and film between their countries, and will jointly direct and film a documentary, which will focus on the lives of young Chinese people in Hungary and China. The deal has historical roots: in 1951, under Mao’s leadership, the countries signed an agreement for cultural exchange.
