Orlando Jones has signed onto Bryan Fuller’s American Gods. Jones (Madiba, Sleepy Hollow) will play Mr. Nancy, an American version of the African folk hero and talking spider. He is Mr. Wednesday’s (Ian McShane) oldest confidant. The series is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s contemporary fantasy novel, American Gods, which centers around the conflict between the traditional gods of mythology and the new deities of technology and consumerism. Shooting is underway in Toronto, with the series to premiere on Starz in 2017.
