Independent U.K. production company Icon Films has announced a commission from Sky Arts to produce a documentary about famed actress Judy Garland.
In Sky Arts’ Passions-Judy Garland by Marc Almond, British singer and performer Marc Almond embarks on a journey to piece together the final, tragic days of Garland’s life. The film is filled with performances and references to Garland’s movies and songs, making special reference to The Wizard of Oz.
In a separate commission, Icon Films is producing a follow-up film to its Restless Legs: Can’t Stop Twitching documentary for Channel 5.
