Canada’s Bell Media revealed its next music TV format, The Launch. Created for CTV, the format features five unsigned artists who compete for the opportunity to record and perform an original song. Each contestant is assisted by mentors, including Scott Borchetta, Shania Twain, Boy George, Alessia Cara, and Nikki Sixx, among others. The series is produced by Bell Media in association with Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Label Group, Paul Franklin of Eureka, as well as in partnership with John Brunton and Lindsay Cox of Insight Productions.
