The first two episodes of HBO Europe’s original production Pustina (Wasteland) will premiere at the 51st Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, held July 1-9 in the Czech Republic. Stepan Hulik (Burning Bush) is the writer of the eight-part series, which tells the story of a small village community who face a string of mysterious events. The townspeople experience pressure from contemporary society to abandon their traditions and assimilate. The show will premiere in the fall.
