CNN has completed new HD broadcasting facilities with an updated, hi-tech studio in Abu Dhabi, the networks’ Middle Eastern hub. The facility, which opened in 2009, is home to CNN’s flagship current affairs program, Connect the World with Becky Anderson. The bureau will now offer new internship opportunities for youth in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. To celebrate the studio’s inaugural broadcast, CNN hosted an opening event, with guests including HE Kاalifa Al Mansouri, Acting Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, HE Mohamed Al Mahmoud, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Media, and other government representatives.
