Six-part crime series The Last Panthers has been sold to Fox Networks Group for Bulgaria and the Balkans. The drama will premiere on Fox Crime channels in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia on March 21, and in Bulgaria on April 19. Studiocanal and Sky Vision handle joint distribution. The series stars Samantha Morton (Minority Report), Tahar Rahim (A Prophet), Goran Bogdan (We Will Be the World Champions) and John Hurt (Midnight Express). Based on an idea by French journalist Jerome Pierrat, and co-created and written by Jack Thorne (Skins), the series is directed by Johan Renck (Breaking Bad). The show explores the relationship between traffickers in jewels and drugs, corrupt European officials, war criminals and city bankers, opening with the a diamond heist that causes the death of a girl during the raid.
