Wowow, a Tokyo-based TV broadcaster, has acquired exclusive Japanese broadcast rights to the action-thriller Blindspot from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. The series was recently renewed by NBC for a second season in the U.S., just weeks after receiving a full-season order from the network. Blindspot follows FBI agent Kurt Weller, who is drawn into an intricate conspiracy when an unidentifiable woman is found in Times Square with Weller’s name tattooed on her back. Blindspot will premiere in Japan on Wowow in May 2016.
