SBS Australia has acquired the rights to six-part crime drama series The Last Panthers. Set to air in 2016, The Last Panthers is a joint pan-European commission from Sky and Canal+, which starts Samantha Morton (Minority Report) and Tahar Rahim (A Prophet). Joint distribution is handled by Studiocanal and Sky Vision. The series, which opens with a diamond heist bearing the hallmarks of the Pink Panther Gang, is produced by France’s Haut et Court TV and the U.K.’s Warp Films, co-produced by SundanceTV.
