Together with over 320 exhibiting companies, VideoAge is preparing for NATPE Miami 2017, the premier TV trade show for LATAM and, increasingly, European TV business.

This coming year is going to be crucial for the LATAM TV market with turbulence predicted in Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Mexico.

In addition, the unpredictability of the new U.S. presidency is expected to contribute to some instability in the advertising market, worldwide.

VideoAge publications will be covering these changes, challenges as well as opportunities with the monthly issue – which, as is tradition, will feature a Spanish-language section – and two dailies: Tuesday, NATPE’s opening day, and Wednesday.

As a demonstration of the increased European presence, VideoAge‘s NATPE edition will feature Germany’s Dr. Herbert G. Kloiber as the International TV Distribution Hall of Fame honoree.

Because NATPE Miami is the first international TV trade show of the year, it offers an invaluable opportunity to discuss with both colleagues and clients future plans to better deal with any upcoming challenges face to face. In this business, no one likes surprises or to be unprepared. And in effect, NATPE Miami will outline the roadmap for the entire year.

As usual, VideoAge editions will be distributed to all participants in their rooms at NATPE’s official hotels. This is a service that VideoAge started at NATPE 1983 and has continued throughout the years.

To facilitate the buying and selling of TV content, VideoAge will list NATPE’s exhibitors new shows in its daily newsletter sent out before the market, and in its printed version during the market. In addition, when the publications will be online in the PDF format, all ads will be linked to the advertisers’ own websites.

Since many NATPE Miami participants actually live in the Miami area (and therefore don’t need hotel accommodations), VideoAge also reaches these crucial buyers through a proven strategy that includes hand distribution, publication bins and an exhibition stand.

Editorially, while VideoAge Daily will report on the NATPE market-floor buying and selling activities, VideoAge Monthly will be focusing on reviewing recent international TV markets (such as Mip Cancun and Asia TV Forum) so that both buyers and sellers can get an independent report needed to formulate future plans.

In addition, the Monthly will analyze programming trends for the upcoming L.A. Screenings and how LATAM marketing teams are setting up their NATPE preparations and sales strategies. In total, expect 11 valuable features.
