The winners of the official competition Venezia 75 at the Venice Film Festival were announced this past weekend.

The Golden Lion for Best Film went to Alfonso Cuarón-directed Roma. Yorgos Lanthimos’s The Favourite received the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize, meanwhile the Silver Lion for Best Director was given to Jacques Audiard for the film The Sisters Brothers. The Coen brothers received the award for Best Screenplay for The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Olivia Colman won Best Actress for her role in The Favourite and Willem Dafoe won Best Actor for his role in At Eternity’s Gate.
