Genius Brands International raised $4.5 million in its investment round.

Financier Robert Wolf of 32 Ventures led the funding. Wolf commented, “Genius Brands is entering a powerful growth phase as a leader in the children’s entertainment space.”

The funding will be used toward driving Genius Brands’ original preschool brand, Rainbow Rangers, with its debut on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. The CGI-animated series tells of the adventures of seven girls who serve as Earth’s first responders to protect people and wildlife.
