For the first time at MIP-TV, held in Cannes from April 3-6, U.S. studios will give a sneak peek of the new shows ahead of this year’s L.A. Screenings. Last Thursday, just after the mid-day press conference in Paris announcing the new feature, Laurine Garaude, Reed MIDEM’s director of its TV Division, placed an early call to VideoAge in New York City to anticipate the news, knowing how the publication had long been lobbying the MIP-TV organization to leverage the success of the L.A. event to revitalize MIP-TV. Disney Media Distribution and Lionsgate will join as first presenting partners of the inaugural Pre-L.A. Screenings Showcase on Tuesday, April 4 from 8:45-10:00am in the Grand Auditorium. Plus, in its Day Three Daily at MIP-TV, VideoAge will focus on the L.A. Screenings with a preview section.
