Tony and Olivier-award winning actor Alan Cumming will host this year’s International Emmy Awards, held November 21 in New York. The Scottish actor is known for his role as political powerbroker Eli Gold in The Good Wife, his prolific stage career and his support of LGBT rights. This year’s event will include two special awards: producer Shonda Rhimes will receive the 2016 International Emmy Founders Award and Maria Rorbye Ronn, CEO of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, will be presented with the 2016 International Emmy Directorate Award.
