The summer drama series Greenleaf delivered OWN’s most watched Wednesday telecast in network history last night on Wednesday night, with 2.3 million total viewers and a 1.79 women 25-54 rating. It was also the top cable telecast for women. The series follows an estranged daughter and preacher, Grace Greenleaf, returns home, 20 years after the unexplained death of her sister. When she re-enters her parents’ megachurch, she reveals shocking truths. Produced for OWN by Lionsgate in association with Harpo Films and Pine City, Greenleaf is currently the summer’s most-watched new cable series among women and total viewers and the summer’s top new series on all of TV across all key African-American demos.
