Paul Welling, a longtime executive at Discovery, has been named senior vice president of International Brand and Franchise Development for Discovery Networks International.  Welling will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to launch and grow brands and franchise events, and work on creating a vision for brands, talent and content.  Welling was responsible for two pan-CEEMEA initiatives: the Discovery Channel “Don’t’ Stop Wondering” brand positioning and tagline, and the Emoji-centric TLC brand campaign.
