Critical Content, an independent studio that launched in October, has finalized an overall deal with America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel and his company Alevy Productions. Through the deal, Mandel will exclusively develop and produce original series in conjunction with Critical Content for television and digital. Additionally, the company announced several overall deals with Luau Studios (Buckwild), and producers Tony Yates (Celebrity Wife Swap), Rachel Schwartz (Born This Way), Troy Searer (The Biggest Loser) and Jon Schwartz (former president of Maverick). Each producer will receive capital investment and access to Critical Content’s infrastructure to assist and accelerate their development and production.
