Pan-African network EbonyTV has picked up Nightrunners, Peace Point Rights’ feature film co-produced by Canada’s Plus 8 Pictures, High Park Entertainment, and Kenya’s Kanyala Little Stars. Rowan Nicole Nielsen wrote and directed the psychological thriller, which focuses on young woman who fears for her life after traveling to a remote Kenyan island to help at the local orphanage. This marks the first commercial sale of the feature film, which played at the Zanzibar International Film Festival.
